SunPoker.com has launched a bold advertising campaign in Las Vegas in the hope of luring visitors to the Desert City online. Gamers cannot fail to be struck by the giant 14 by 48 foot billboard newly erected on Paradise Boulevard bearing the legend: ‘Next time, play from home - SunPoker.com’. Tourists leaving the city to the south will be assaulted by two additional posters proclaiming: ‘What happens in Vegas...now happens at home - SunPoker.com.
Nick Melrose, Poker Room Manager at Sunpoker.com understands the enormous value of promoting brand awareness in the world gaming capital, but adds that the company is not trying to take business away from Vegas casinos: “This campaign will simply let people know that they can now participate from the comfort and security of their own homes, which ultimately stimulates the poker industry,' he said.
“Playing poker online has become incredibly popular amid all the television coverage lately,' adds Melrose, 'and the campaign was intended to let people know they can have fun by learning to play poker in a real setting with other players from around the world, without feeling intimidated by sitting with them face-to-face.'
