Poker playing students whose loans are running out will have the chance to earn some cash in the ninth incarnation of The Oxford Cup.

The event, which is now backed by Neil Channing's Blackbeltpoker.com, takes places on Sunday 16th May with a prize pool of £10,000 expected. Loose Cannon legend Roy Hodgson will be taking the tournament director role with a number of pros and celebrities due to be added to the line up.


The one-day event is a £20 rebuy and is open to ALL students, anyone who has played the Oxford Cup before + special invited guest pros/celebs. Oxford Brookes University student Mark 'Snow' Schofield took the honours last year, outlasting a field if 178 runners to collect the first prize of £2,890.
