Stop, Brammer Time!

Monday, 17 August 2009

82 players gathered at Nottingham’s Gala Casino for the latest leg of the Coral British Masters Of Poker Tour over the weekend and in the end it was Chris Brammer who took the honours.

Brammer overcame a final table that included recent Italian Poker Tour winner Matt Perrins and London Poker Circuit victor Sam Trickett to claim the first prize of £16,000 and a seat in the British Masters Play Off. The victory is the latest in a string of fine results for the Southampton man who made the money in this year’s WSOP Main Event and followed it up with a cash at GUKPT Luton.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1st Chris Brammer £14,000
2nd Jonathan Butter £9,000
3rd Matt Perrins £5,950
4th Neil Blatchley £3,900
5th Sam Trickett £2,750
6th Trev Pearson £2,150
7th Dewi James £1,700
8th Matt Russell £1,400
9th Mike Miller £1,150

Sam Trickett’s disappointment at missing out on the Main Event was tempered by his success in the £200 side event.

3rd James Meachen £2,200

6th Andy Woods £760

The next leg of the Masters Tour is at Gala’s Leo Casino in Liverpool from 18th to 20th September with a further stop at Bristol’s Gala Casino Riverside from 23rd to 25th October.
