Steve O'Dwyer wins WPT Denmark

It's fair to say that Denmark will be high up on Steve O'Dwyer's list of favourite holiday destinations. The American pro finished in seventh place at last week's EPT Copenhagen and followed it up with a win in the World Poker Tour event in the Danish capital.

O'Dwyer beat a Scandinavian dominated final table to pocket a first prize of DKK893,960 (around $160,000) to take the earnings from his Danish trip past the $200,000 mark.


The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

2. Martin Tonnesen – DKK 490,140
3. Claus Uhrskov – DKK 339,960
4. Jan V. Sorensen – DKK 225,030
5. Justin Lund – DKK 175,710
6. Kenneth Laursen – DKK 138,720
