Stars Turnout for L.A. Poker Classic

While Serbia’s Vladimir Bozinovic was breaking new ground with his first WPT title in Baden, a collection of familiar faces were carving their way through the masses at in Los Angeles.

Kicking off on Saturday, the WPT’s L.A. Poker Classic welcomed a healthy field of 517 runners, including some of the game’s top pros.


Indeed, while many are now watching from the sidelines, there remains a selection of former champions within the remaining 164 players.


Breaking into the top five chip counts towards the end of Day 2 was Scott Seiver. The American pro bagged 244,100 chips to finish just under 40,000 away from chip leader Peter Neff (284,700).


Also still in contention when the players return for Day 3 inside the Commerce Casino is: Toby Lewis (79,300), Sam Razavi (58,700), Joe Hachem (73,200) and Jennifer Harman (197,500).


Thanks to another healthy field in L.A. the prizepool topped $4.8 million, which means the eventual winner will walk away with $1,004,090.
