Sneak peek at new Sam Holden documentary

Wednesday, 28 December 2011

2011 was quite a year for Sam Holden. Not content with reaching the final table of the World Series of Poker, the British youngster also took down the latest series of Late Night Poker.

888Poker and Spade Social are giving the wider poker public a glimpse of what the life in the upper upper echelons of the tournament game is like courtesy of a new documentary. Holden gave the film crew all area access in the run up to November's WSOP final table and the result is this 30-minute documentary.

According to the makers, the film will show 'what has turned him (Holden) from a hopeful student interested in the game to one of the brightest and most talented players in the circuit' as well as revealing 'how the new breed of highly educated, young poker players is changing the game and what influences technology and social media have had on the sport'.

The complete film will be shown on Sky Channel 231 in the UK and on 20 free to air channels throughout Europe in January 2012.
