It has been confirmed that The William Hill Grand Prix II is to be broadcast exclusively live on Sky Sports from January 17.
The tournament features 44 “Gods of Poker” being pitted against 12 “mere mortal” qualifiers from on-line and land based tournaments. Amongst the poker pros taking part in the tourney are Europeans Dave Ulliott, Andy Black, Pascal Perrault and Mickey Wernick.
The tournament consists of seven heats, the semi final and grand final and the action will unfold over 10 weeks every evening at 22:00 GMT.
Only the winner from each of the seven heats qualifies for the final and the semi-final will be played by the second placed players from each heat, giving one of them another opportunity to make it to the final table.
The programme begins on January 17 with the William Hill GPII Final schedule to be shown on March 14. Sky will also be repeating the each show at various times every Thursday.
