As expected, a bumper field was on hand for the second opening flight of the Genting Poker Series Grand Final in Sheffield yesterday, with 178 entries taking at shot at the big guaranteed prize pool.

By the end of ten levels of hard fought action it was Sin Melin who had worked her way to the head of the field (check out our recent interview with Sin Melin here). 54 players survived the second opening flight including Sam Grafton 144,000, Willie Tann 117,800, Ben Jackson 111,100, Paul Jackson 76,300 and Gabriel Tuna 61,800.

The combined entries from the two opening flights is 262, meaning a guarantee busting prize pool of £209,600. Props must go to Genting as every single leg of the 2013 Series has exceeded its guarantee.
