Christmas may be just around the corner but here at Bluff Europe Towers we're already turning our attention to Easter and in particularly the 2013 Irish Open. Tournament sponsor has unveiled details of a busy side event programme.

The long-running festival takes place at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin from March 29 to April 1 and will feature ten side events, three more than last year'.

Included for 2013 is a €225 buy-in Irish Open Mini Main Event with a 10,000 chip starting stack and 30-minute clock, along with a €560 buy-in six-handed PLO tournament.

The Irish Open 2013 will also see the return of popular events such as the €335 buy-in no-limit hold’em turbo tournament and the €170 buy-in no-limit hold’em ‘scalps’ event.

“We’ve continued to listen to the players and what the players want is poker,” read a statement from “So, on top of reducing the main event buy-in this year we’ve increased the number of side events, which will include a new Irish Open Mini Main Event.
