Following a successful event at Denmark’s Casino Marienlyst in Elsinore, Showdown Poker Tour (SDPT) has announced that poker fans will be able to watch Dane player Henrik Witt annihilate his opponents when the tourney is aired on television via Viasat Sport on November 1.
'It is great that we can announce a broadcast date of our Elsinore event only a few weeks after it happened,” said Soren and Teddy from SDPT. “We are really happy about the production and are looking forward to seeing the show on air.'
Viasat Sport 1 has a reach of 1.2 million households. And with an additional airing on Viasat Sport 3 the week after, the reach of the first SDPT show on the small screen will be 2.4 million households in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and the Baltics.
The most action-packed part of the show will be the exhilarating and exhausting heads up battle between Witt and Swedish challenger William Thorson. In the end, Witt scooped a sizable €69,000 for his win whilst William Thorson left €43,000 richer for his second place finish.
