Serge Van Landegham Takes GUKPT Champion of Champions

The current season of the GUKPT drew to a close this week with Serge Van Landegham taking down the Champion of Champions event in Luton.

The Belgian outran a 94-runner field that included notables James Akenhead, Jeff Kimber and GUKPT Goliath winner Les Fenton before beating recent WPT National Dublin winner Simon Deadman heads up. Van Landegham overturned a two to one chip deficit before sealing the title after flopping trips with 9-8 to beat Deadman's AJ.


Van Landegham qualified for the event after winning a €100 side event at the GUKPT's stop in Blankenberge, Belgium. His only other live score to date was for £160 after a 197th place finish at the GUKPT Goliath in Coventry.
