The World Series of Poker Academy has announced its second annual event, to take place on the weekend of March 29th at Caesars Indiana casino in the USA.
The WSOP Academy camps are designed to help participants by giving them first hand knowledge from some of the world’s best poker players. This year’s experience will include instruction from Paul Wasicka, the 2006 WSOP Main Event Runner Up and 2007 NBC National Heads Up Champion, and two time WSOP bracelet winner Mark Seif, as well as many more.
The schedule includes seminars, live hand demonstrations, interactive workshops and customised handbooks. Over the course of the weekend it will cover various aspects of Texas Hold’em strategy, including position as well as the trickier maths stuff, like pot odds and counting your outs.
After learning so much, the participants will then have a chance to put it to the test in the weekends highlight, the Saturday night tournament, where they will play against each other and the pros, with the winner being awarded a $5,000 seat to the Main Event of the 2008 WSOP Circuit at Caesars Indiana.
Jeff Goldenberg, from Post Oak Productions said “Our event will give players the confidence and skills they need to become a threat on the table, whether playing at home or against the best players in the world”.
The costing for the weekend is $1,699 and there are only 100 spaces so that participants will benefit fully from the experience, and is expected to popular. Book now, if you fancy a bit of coaching Stateside!
