Scottish Poker Championship Main Event today

The showpiece event of the Scottish Poker Championship gets under way at Edinburgh's Gala Maybury Casino this afternoon. A bumper prize pool is expected for the two-day, £500+£50 Main Event which starts at 2pm. Players will get plenty of play for their £500 investment with starting stacks of 20,000 chips and a 45-minute clock.

For those whose bankrolls won't stretch as far as a main event seat there will be plenty of value to be had in a £200+£20 side event that starts at 6pm on Sunday. Stacks start at 12,500 chips with a 30-minute clock.
