Is there a new Bertrand Grospellier on the scene? A week after scoring a $100,000 final table spot at the NAPT Venetian High Roller Bounty Shootout event, US player Scott Seiver has added to his tournament winnings with a $425,330 victory at the LA Poker Classic $25,000 High Roller event.

He beat a final table that included Daniel Alaei, Will Molson and – surprise, surprise – Jason Mercier, who is a staple name at every final table ever played in the history of poker.

Seiver now boasts a little under $2,000,000 in tournament winnings including a victory in a $5,000 side event in December’s Doyle Brunson Five Star Classic for $220,000 and a WSOP bracelet last summer that netted him $755,000.

He bested Daniel Alaei heads-up in order to take down the near-half million first prize, seeing Jason Mercier off in third and dominating the six-handed final table. The full list of final table placings and payouts is as follows:

1. Scott Seiver - $425,330
2. Daniel Alaei - $222,790
3. Jason Mercier - $141,780
4. Lee Markholt - $101,270
5. Tommy Vedes - $70,890
6. Will Molson - $50,640
