Schedule changes for the London Poker Tour Main Event

Schedule changes for the London Poker Tour Main Event

Thursday, 19 March 2009

The London Poker Circuit management have taken the decision to Merge Day 1A and 1B of the £1000 main event this week, and Day 1 will now be held this coming Friday March 20th.

The decision was taken after listening to player feedback about the main event structure, in order to provide players with the best value for their money and establish a structure that will suit most players.

Instead of the original Day 1, a £100 rebuy tournament will take place, starting at 8pm on Thursday 19th March, for players who want to play on Thursday. STT satellites to the Main Event will run from 6pm on Thursday, and all events will be held at the Kensington Close Hotel.

Harry Lang, member of the London Poker Circuit team, explains : "We apologise for any inconvenience that this late change in schedule may cause players with travel arrangements already in place. However, we believe that this decision will improve the value of the tournament and increase the amount of players attending the main event starting on Friday 20th March."

The £300 NLHE Double Chance Freezout, on Wednesday, attracted 28 runners. Its prize pool was boosted by Cola Hotels who added £1000.
