Sam Trickett claims the London Poker Circuit Main Event

Wednesday, 25 March 2009

The field may have been small but the Main Event of the inaugural London Poker Circuit was a quality affair with Sam Trickett emerging victorious.

Nottingham’s Sam Trickett took down the main event of the opening leg of the London Poker Circuit 2009 at the Kensington Close Hotel in London. Only 18 players bought into the £1,000 main event but those two tables were packed full of quality. Grosvenor UK Poker Tour winner Trickett saw off a field which included Joe Grech, James Akenhead, Nik Persaud, Stuart Rutter and Karl Mahrenholz to claim the 1st prize of £8,500

Earlier in the week former EastEnder and GUKPT winner Michael Greco won the £300 side event.

The circuit’s next stop is the Westbury Hotel in Mayfair on 14th to 15th April followed by the London Poker Circuit Festival at the Kingsway Hall Hotel in Covent Garden from 4th to 10th May.
