Sam Trickett Crashes his Ferrari

Sam Trickett, the leading tournament earner in Europe, is a master a playing on the turn, but following a car crash on Saturday it seems he's not as hot at driving on turns.

Although Trickett was able to look back with a rueful smile following the incident, the state of his £275,000 Ferrari certainly wasn't anything to laugh about.

The Ferrari F458 Spider in red looked a sorry sight on the side of the road as the driver's side wing sat in tatters following a run in with a barrier. Earlier this year Trickett was lamenting on the purchase of his Ferrari, telling Lee Davy that it's lost around £125,000 in 18 months.

Unfortunately for the British pro, that loss will be a lot more now as the repair bill to get the car up and running again will likely cost a few Main Event buy-ins. Luckily, Trickett is as much of a winner at the cash game tables as he in major tournaments and a few pots in Macau or Vegas should easily cover the cost of the repairs and leave some spare for him to place a bet on his beloved Manchester United.
