Sahamies high stakes domination

Tuesday, 30 October 2012

Ilari Sahamies has been on a remarkable run over the last week with a profit of $2.2 million. Having endured a torrid run of results at the virtual felt for much of the year, Sahamies has enjoyed a huge upswing since last Monday.

Being almost $1.4 million in the hole for the majority of 2012, he is now almost $900,000 in profit thanks to his recent run.

His largest recent win came on Saturday when he banked $777,500 after crushing the likes of Phil Galfond at the $200/$400 PLO tables.

While Ilari has been busy recording multiple six-figure sessions, Ben “Sauce123” Sulsky and Isaac Haxton have been busy progressing through to the next round of their PokerStars All-Star Showdown.

After watching Sulsky defeat Tobias Kuder in the first match, Haxton would embark on an 18 hour epic battle against Alex “Kanu7” Millar. The pair traded blows throughout the day and night until Haxton eventually walked away with $100,000 after 3,881 hands.

Sulsky and Haxton will now meet in the semi-finals on November 2nd.
