Royal Vegas Poker, the highly rated online poker site, is planning a charity tournament to raise funds to help victims of Hurricane Katrina on the US’ Gulf Coast. Half of the prize money will handed over to the American Red Cross to provide relief for the thousands of people affected in and around the New Orleans and Gulf area.
Anyone who wants to get involved in the charity effort can find details on www.royalvegaspoker.com site, where they can enter the tournament for a $25 fee.
“The entire team at Royal Vegas Poker feels deeply for those stranded without food, shelter or water as a result of Hurricane Katrina,” revealed Royal Vegas Poker’s Host, Lou Krieger. “Our players have indicated the same and with each buy-in to the tournament, we will be able to increase our overall contribution.”
The tournament, to be held on Tuesday, has been organised by the concerned staff and players at Royal Vegas who have been keen to make a contribution the relief effort.
