Richard Sinclair heads UKIPT Newcastle final table

The 554 runners who entered the £500 PokerStars UKIPT Newcastle Main Event have been whittled down to a final table of eight with Richard Sinclair heading the chase for the £67,000 first prize.

Sinclair returns with a stack of almost 2m chips, 600,000 ahead of closest rival, Birmingham's Raj Verma who is the only other player with a seven-figure stack on 1.3m. Joining them at the final table will be Rakesh Paul Gupta 958,000, James Morris 926,000, Jonathan Gawith 898,000, Tim Slater 858,000 and Irishmen Tadhg Ryan 836,000 and Barry Foley 446,000.
