RedKings Pro Takes Down San Remo Title

RedKings Pro Takes Down San Remo Title

In his biggest win to date for the OnGame powered RedKings, Ramzi Jelassi has won the San Remo leg of the Italian Poker Tour, beating a strong field to take down a first place prize of €170,000.

“Easy game. I had QQ as my best hand yesterday, which I lost; never any AA or KK. Owned them all the way and had a little bit of luck on the final table when I won the important all-in situations”, commented a happy Jelassi when the win finally sank in after the last cards had been dealt.

Ramzi was playing heads-up against Italian player Andrea Sapere – one deciding hand saw the RedKings pro call Sapere’s shove with 44, facing A7 in a typical tournament coinflip. A flopped set won Ramzi a gigantic pot and gave him 90% of the chips in play. The next hand, Ramzi’s K7 held up against QT with a 7 on the flop, winning the tournament.

“We know what Ramzi is capable of and this win was definitely on the cards,” said Jerry Land, Live Events manager at RedKings. “It is not often a player gets such a golden opportunity as Ramzi had for the final day but he also dominated the final table with good solid poker in the typical aggressive Ramzi Jelassi style, Congratulations from everyone at RedKings and the rest of the Pro Team!”
