While Vegas may be the focus of tournament attention at the moment there’s still plenty of action to be found elsewhere. The Ballsbridge Inn in Dublin hosted the inaugural European Shorthanded Championship over the weekend and attracted a field of 141 players for their €1,100 buy-in Main Event.

The title was eventually won by Frenchman Raymond Beytrison who took the first prize of €39,000 beating a final table which included Michael Muldoon, Eoin Olin, Ciaran Taggart, John Weafer and David Normoyle.

The four-day festival also featured a €550 Omaha Side Event which was won by Alan Kelleher who pocketed €5,000. Deker Baker took the €550 Hold'em Side Event for a cash of €6,000 while the €330 Hold'em Side Event was won by Tony Tan who picked up €5,250.
