Ray Bitar Dying & Broke - Cunningham

Ray Bitar Dying & Broke - Cunningham

Wednesday, 29 October 2014

Former Full Tilt CEO, Ray Bitar, is virtually broke and doesn't have long to live according to Allen Cunningham.

After hearing that Bitar was suffering from a serious heart condition, many members of the poker community were quick to speculate that it was a cunning ruse by Bitar in order to avoid a prison sentence following Full Tilt's closure.

However, according to a source close to both Bitar and Cunningham, the indicted CEO is "unlikely" to live more than two years.

Although Cunningham, who was a former sponsored pro at Full Tilt under Bitar, isn't looking to defend his former boss's actions, he did plead with the community to have some human compassion.

"To all the conspiracy theorists: according to my sources, Ray Bitar is unlikely to live more than a couple years and is nearly penniless. He didn't get away with anything. I feel like that's not getting away with it in a karmic way, at least. And especially in contrast to the conjecture at the beginning of the thread that he had hidden accounts and faked the heart problem. I would trade places with any of his victims over him. Some people still haven't gotten paid and it's mostly Ray Bitar's fault, but he isn't benefiting from it."

As for Bitar himself, the last communication the community heard from him was back in 2013 when he said he was "sorry" for his actions and that it should "never have happened."
