PokerStars has announced details of the next World Cup of Poker which will see teams from 56 countries battle it out for international glory not to mention $290,000 in cash and an appearance in a live final in The Bahamas.

Players wishing to represent their country must first win a place in the four-man National Team. There are a host of qualifiers at PokerStars starting from just $1 or 1FPP, details of which can be found by clicking here.

National teams will then square off in a series of Divisional Finals with the the top teams going through to the live Grand Final during January's PokerStars Caribbean Adventure. Members of the teams that make it to the World Cup of Poker Grand Final will receive a prize package that includes travel and accommodation at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in The Bahamas. Once there, each team member will compete in a single table tournament to determine their team’s starting chip stack for the World Cup of Poker Final Table.

The tag team Final Table will see players rotate in an out of play until one team is crowned World Cup champions with the winners set to share $100,000.

To round things off, PokerStars is hosting a massive $100,000 freeroll on Sunday 30th January 2011 for every player who took part in the $1 and 1FPP World Cup qualifiers.
