Online casino and poker room Purple Lounge has reported a huge surge in the number of new player sign-ups over the past week, in wake of the recent Tain and Tribeca merger and Playtech acquisition.
The number of daily new player sign-ups has apparently increased by over 30 percent following the migration of players from one network to another in recent weeks.
'We're very fortunate the merger has encouraged players to try alternative poker rooms,” admitted Chris Gorman, Chairman of Purple Lounge.
“Aside from the usual poker and casino bonuses and cash prizes, once new sign-ups discover the distinctive and unusual lifestyle aspect our site offers in addition to poker and casino, they usually stay with us,' Gorman added.
The European online gambling market has become increasingly competitive in light of the recent change in US gambling legislation. Purple Lounge believes it has done extremely well, having successfully built up a base of over 42,000 registered players since its launch in 2005.
The site aims to offer a more “boutique and bespoke” approach to poker and casino than larger sites.
