Pros lead the way at EPT Campione after Day 2

Thursday, 29 March 2012

Day 2 of the PokerStars EPT Campione has concluded with 99 players remaining to play out Day 3, where we will hit the money bubble of 88 players. Day 2 was an action-packed day and many big names have big stacks.

Leading the field is Hungarian player Balazs Botond, who racked up 646,000 chips to end the day. He put in a dominating performance and looks poised to significantly increase his $200,000 lifetime tournament winnings.

However, the list of pros still alive is a big one, especially those in the top 20 chip stacks. High stakes online grinder Ronny “1-ronnyr3” Kaiser sits in second place with former EPT champions David Vamplew, Roberto Romanello and Liv Boeree all in the top 11 stacks. Joining them is Olivier Busquet in 7th and Nicolas Chouity in 15th.

There are plenty of notables further down the leader board too including Rupert Elder, Per Linde and Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier.

The action resumes at 2pm.
