We have sad news to report from the other side of the Atlantic after the death of poker pro Ryan Young in a car crash on Monday.

News of the 28-year old's death caused much shock in the poker community with many top pros taking to Twitter to pass on their condolences. Daniel Negreanu tweeted, “Kid was a character, played with him in the main event this year RIP... A real loss for the poker world. Ryan Young was interesting, charismatic, a talker, aggressive, and exciting to watch. I liked him."

Vanessa Selbst added, "I'm also incredibly sad about Ryan Young's passing. He was a treat to play with - such a vibrant, good-natured kid. Too young for that. RIP."

Young is probably best known for his World Series of Poker bracelet win in 2007. He had a deep run in this year's Main Event too, busting out in 350th place.
