Oleg Lichii can certainly say he ran well over the last couple of days after being selected to play in the main event at the San Remo stop of the European Poker Tour (EPT) courtesy of a prize draw from PokerTracker.

Thanks to a recent sweepstake from the technology firm, university student Lichii scooped a prize package for the EPT San Remo worth €6,900 ($9,458) and will now be in the Italian seaside resort from April 9 to 20.

The 21-year-old Moldovan currently plays micro-stakes on PokerStars under the nickname ‘Leackey92’ and his forthcoming trip to Italy will be the first time he's ever jumped into the heat of a live EPT main event. Included in his prize package is a seat into the €4,900 ($6,715) buy-in main event along with €2,000 ($2,741) for travel, accommodation and spending.

PokerTracker4 is the of the official tracking software for the tenth season of the EPT and players were required to download a 30-day demonstration edition in order to be eligible for the San Remo draw.

“When I downloaded the demo version I saw the information about the San Remo trip for some lucky guy, so I decided to register,” said Lichii.

“I wasn’t expecting to win since I’ve never won any kind of lottery but when I saw the message I couldn’t believe my eyes and my dream actually came true. Thank you, PokerTracker.”
