PokerTime has launched a novel tourney which will pit teams of poker players against each other in a bid to win seats at WSOP qualifiers.
Each team, made up of four members, will get to fight it out against other teams on 27 May 2007.
PokerTime will calculate the teams' joint position in the WSOP Team Freeroll by adding up where each one of the team members placed. The team with the lowest score will win the first place – entry for the whole team to the WSOP Multi-Table Finals, worth $1,500 each. Here, they will get to compete for seats to the 2007 WSOP Main Event worth a whopping $15,000.
The teams with the second and third lowest score will get entry to a WSOP weekly satellite and a WSOP daily satellite respectively.
“And this isn't the only exclusive WSOP package that PokerTime is offering their online players,” said a spokesman for the company. “Players who've qualified for the WSOP Main Event at PokerTime will get an extra $1,100 extra giving them two extra chances to win cash at the Rio.”
