The France-facing domain for PokerStars has just inked a sponsorship deal with top-flight football team Olympique Lyonnais.
PokerStars’ investments seems to be never ending at the moment following the announcement of plans to purchase stakes in two live venues while it will now serve as a sponsor for the Ligue One side.The soccer team, which is more commonly known as simply Lyon, is one of France’s top teams and a staple on the European circuit.The new deal will see PokerStars’ branding line the walls of Lyon’s stadium as well as its website and dedicated television channel. The joint venture will also see a range of Lyon and PokerStars.fr specific promotions that can win players exclusive prizes and VIP access to various matches."During the season, many more activities will take place between PokerStars and Olympique Lyonnais,” said Mark Stuart from PokerStars.The move marks PokerStars’ growing association with the sporting world.
