In addition cash games will be available around the clock.

The opening tournament is the HKD 10,000 buy in Red Dragon which is part of the Macau Poker Cup. A guaranteed prize pool of HKD 500,000 (around £45,000) is up for grabs. Upcoming events will include the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau Poker Festival as well as weekly tournaments and freerolls for new players. Qualification for all events can be done within the casino or online via PokerStars.

2005 World Series of Poker Main Event champion Joe Hachem said “PokerStars is committed to the development of poker across Asia, and this new room will be its heart. It has been extraordinary for me to watch the growth of poker culture in the eighteen months since the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour first brought poker to Macau, and I’m so excited about playing in my third APPT there in August”
