PokerStars.com has announced it is running satellites for qualification into its World Championship of Online Poker, the Internet’s biggest poker tournament. The tournament will run from July 28th to August 8th and will guarantee $4 million in payout

PokerStars.com has announced it is running satellites for qualification into its World Championship of Online Poker, the Internet’s biggest poker tournament. The tournament will run from July 28th to August 8th and will guarantee $4 million in payouts expected to draw over 20,000 players to its twelve events.
The twelve events in the tournament have buy-ins ranging from $200 to $2,500, and the championship No Limit Hold'em event on August 8th will have a guaranteed payout of $1.2 million.
PokerStars, based in Costa Rica, is one of the biggest poker rooms on the Internet, matching poker players from all around the world. The last two consecutive winners of the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas have qualified via PokerStars.
