PokerStars Team Online’s Petersen wins EPT Copenhagen

Monday, 27 February 2012

The PokerStars EPT Copenhagen has concluded with two players sporting Red Spades battling it out for the title. In the end, PokerStars Team Online member Mickey “memnent_mori” Petersen defeated Pierre Neuville to first spot.

A six-hour heads-up slog saw Petersen chip up against Neuville steadily despite the older pro finding several double-ups. The final han at last saw “memnent_mori” get it in ahead with A-5 versus A-4.
Though a split looked likely, a five on the river sealed the deal to ship Petersen his first live tournament victory and 2.515m DKK as well as the EPT bracelet. Neuville had to settle for 1.6m DKK for second place.

The final table payouts were as follows:
1. Mickey Petersen – 2.515m DKK
2. Pierre Neuville – 1.6m DK
3. Bjarke Hansen – 1m DKK
4. Aage Ravin – 740k DKK
5. Jacob Rasmussen – 490k DKK
6. Niels van Alphen – 390k DKK
7. Steve O’Dwyer – 290k DKK
8. Spencer Hudson – 191.4k DKK
