PokerStars’ TCOOP Breaks Records

Now the dust has settled on this year’s PokerStars Turbo Championship of Online Poker the numbers have been counted and verified and they certainly make pleasant reading.

After a successful first outing last year, this year’s event has broken all previous records with a more than $24 million being given away over the course of 50 supercharged events.


That figure is $4.5 million more than last year and shows the immense popularity of the online based festival.


In total 240,321 players bought into at least one TCOOP event and Sunday’s $700 Main Event drew an impressive crowd of 5,060 players.


Finishing top of this year’s TCOOP leaderboard was “Tjepan” thanks to a total of 12 cashes and $79,819 in prize money. His impressive record has earned him a 2014 PCA package worth $16,500.


Overall the series has been seen as a massive success and just another indication that the online poker industry is a vibrant and lucrative as ever.
