The first pro from India to don the famous PokerStars patch will be Aditya Agarwal. The former engineering and marketing student fell in love with poker while studying in the US and has turned what started as a hobby into a profitable career.“I’ve been playing at PokerStars since 2004, so this is a dream come true for me.,” said Agarwal. “As a poker ambassador I want to help promote the game in India, and inspire more players to play and enjoy the sport.”Agarwal has enjoyed deep runs at the WSOP and the EPT as well as bagging some tournament titles in his native India.Joining him in the Team Pro colours is Kosei Ichinose. The first Japanese player to reach Supernova Elite, Ichinose has also enjoyed plenty of live tournament success with wins on the APPT, Macau Millions and Red Dragon tour events.“I’m proud to be associated with PokerStars as I have achieved so much in the game by playing on the site,” said Ichinose who started playing poker while at university in Canada in 2006. “I now look forward to helping spread the popularity of poker in Asia and representing the brand at major international tournaments like the upcoming Aussie Millions later this month.”
