PokerStars Signs Alex Millar

PokerStars Signs Alex Millar

Thursday, 31 October 2013

When it comes to picking Britain's best online high stakes cash game player its fair to say that Alex Millar would be pretty high up on the list. It seems that PokerStars are in agreement with that assessment as they have just signed Millar up as a Team Online Pro.

The 28-year-old's rise from the micro tables to the nosebleeds has been meteoric and he now rubs shoulders with the game's elite in the biggest games around. Millar, who plays online as Kanu7, is up almost $3m since 2011. It's all a far cry from the former mechanical engineering student's days at Warwick University where he started playing freerolls and $5 tourneys!

“I feel part of an organisation which really looks after its players and represents poker in the best way it can,” says Millar. “I couldn't imagine myself representing any other site.”

Also joining the Team Online Pro ranks at PokerStars this week is Marc-Andre Ladouceur. The French Canadian grinder has been a Supernova Elite since 2010 and is a regular in the big online action. Ladouceur has translated his success online into the live arena too with deep runs in the WSOP Main Event in both 2011 and 2012. Other impressive live scores include a High Roller win on the Italian Poker Tour for €132,00 and a runner up finish in the Heads Up event at EPT Barcelona in 2012.

Join them both at the PokerStars tables with a 100% bonus up to $400 on your first first deposits plus get entry into freerolls where $50,000 is up for grabs.

Alex Millar featured in Douglas 'WGCRider' Polk's list of the ten best online heads up poker players. See who else made the chart here.
