PokerStars EPT Prague under way

PokerStars EPT Prague under way

Tuesday, 1 December 2009

The last EPT stop of the year before the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in January 2010 kicked off today as the €5,000 EPT Prague Main Event began in the Hilton Hotel. The field is strong so far with rumours abound that the 600 player cap might be reached early.

Last year at this event, Salvatore Bonavena became the first Italian EPT champion and took home over €750,000 for his gruelling win. Arnaud Mattern, the winner of the first ever EPT here in Prague, is expected to return – this time as a Team PokerStars Pro.

PokerStars’ pro turnout has been somewhat diminished by the APPT Grand Final several thousand miles away in Sydney, but it is still expected that the European contingent of the world’s largest poker site will be out in force.

Join us tomorrow for updates on the EPT.
