PokerStars EPT Prague Day 2 over

PokerStars EPT Prague Day 2 over

Friday, 4 December 2009

When Day 2 of the third consecutive EPT Prague event began, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier was looking to make his 2009 even better. He had a massive stack of chips and looked likely to add an EPT title to his PCA High Roller win and two WCoOP titles for this year.

However, he fell midway through Day 2 – it’s only fair, really, you want to give some other people the chance to win a tournament. Over 300 players began Day 2 and after an action-packed day, only 89 remain: ElkY was not the only one to crash out of the tournament.

Katja Thater, Thierry van den Berg, Marcel Luske, and Alexander Kravchenko all joined their fellow PokerStars PRO at the rail during Day 2, but inaugural EPT Prague winner Arnaud Mattern finished strong after a late double-up.

Tomorrow the remaining players will have played to the bubble and beyond, down to the final few tables. You can find the updates here at Bluff Europe.
