PokerStars Caribbean Adventure final table set

PokerStars Caribbean Adventure final table set

Monday, 11 January 2010

The 24 remaining players of the 1,500 plus that entered the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $10,300 main event returned to the Atlantis Resort’s Imperial Ballroom to play down to the final table, with the likes of John Duthie, Robert Mizrachi, Jeff Madsen and Praz Bansi gunning for a spot in the final eight.

None of these esteemed players made it – Mizrachi was one of the early casualties, finishing 22nd ($75,000) after losing a coinflip; Madsen did the same to finish 19th ($87,500).

Day 2 chip leader and Hit Squaddie Praz Bansi managed to get some momentum early on in the day but later ran A9o into AA, finally hitting the rail in 18th place and adding $87,500 to the Hit Squad’s impressive tournament profit over the last year.

Ty Reiman eliminated John Duthie after the largest pot of the tournament, all the money going in pre-flop with AA vs QQ. PokerStars Pro Duthie held the bullets and was in great shape before a Q-x-x flop sealed his fate, shipping the 10,000,000 pot to Reiman and leaving Duthie with just 55,000. He finished 12th ($130,000) just a couple of hands later.

The full final table placings and chip counts are as follows:

Seat 1: Zachary Goldberg (2,340,000)
Seat 2: Ryan D'Angelo (10,090,000)?
Seat 3: Aage Ravn (1,600,000)?
Seat 4: Tom Koral (5,370,000)
Seat 5: Harrison Gimbel (6,000,000)
Seat 6: Barry Shulman (6,805,000)?
