PokerStars Caribbean Adventure begins today with $100k event

Thursday, 5 January 2012

New year, new PCA, same massive buy-ins. Today the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure begins with the second run of their $100,000 Super High Roller event before the $10,000 Main Event begins on Sunday.

Last year, Eugene Katchalov defeated Daniel Negreanu heads-up to win $1,500,000 after surviving a 38-strong field. This included a final table consisting of Daniel “jungleman12” Cates, Andrew “luckychewy” Lichtenberger and PokerStars Pro Humberto Brenes.

The PCA Main Event, which last year saw 1,560 players enter, begins on Saturday and runs for a week. The event, as well as the Super High Roller final table, will be webcast on a 40-minute delay at PokerStars.
