PokersStars, the world’s largest online poker site, have begun to run satellites from as little as $2 to their Caribbean Adventure tournament series, promising to be the richest tournament outside of Las Vegas.

The festivities kick off on January 4th, with the $10,300 Main Event running from the 5th until the 11th. Last year, Poorya Nazari won an incredible $3,000,000 for his Main Event victory over a field of almost 1,400 players.


In addition, the $25,000 High Roller event (last year, surprise, surprise, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier took down the top dollar in that event) will be returning as well as the $3,000 side event that WSOP 2008 Champion Peter Eastgate spectacularly took down.


The return of the mano-a-mano laptop-based Battleship event will also cause a stir, as will a rumoured heads-up Omaha tournament. You can qualify for as little as $2 at PokersStars.com – last year, Nazari spent just $5 on his entry that made him $3m.
