PokerStars Announces WCOOP 2014 Schedule

It's that time of the year when PokerStars pulls out the big guns and put on MTT festival to end all MTT festivals.
In the wake of the latest MicroMillions, the site has just unveiled its latest WCOOP schedule and this time around there will be at least $40 million on the line.
Set to get underway on September 7th and run through until September 28th, the 66-event spectacular will not only feature some of the best players in the world fighting for the biggest online prizes in the world, but a live webcast.
For the first time in the WCOOP's 13-year history, the final table of the $5,200 Main Event will be streamed live to those not fortunate enough to make it there.
Providing commentary and analysis as the players fight for the lion's share of the $10 million prizepool on September 28th/29th will be Joe Stapleton, James Hartigan and various Team PokerStars pros.
As ever the latest incarnation of WCOOP will feature a variety of games, formats and buy-ins, including 4-max NLHE, 6-Max PLO and $10,300 Heads-Up high rollers, but for most the Main Event will be the star of the show.
In a bid to ensure as many people as possible get a chance to take part in the $10 million event, PokerStars is hosting a string of bargain satellites right now.
Costing as little as $1 to play, these qualifiers will run alongside the ongoing Protégé promotion which will see four players given professional coaching before and entry to the $5,200 Main Event.
Capping off the bevy of ways for MTT players to fill their coffers will be the WCOOP Player of the Series leaderboard. Designed to reward consistency with a package of prizes worth more than $20,000 (Champion's Trophy, 2015 PCA Package, 2015 EPT Grand Final Package, 2015 TCOOP Main Event Ticket), the leaderboard should create some interesting dynamics as the festival moves forward.
