The first event of the PokerStars.net ANZPT is scheduled for February 4th 2009 and is to be hosted at Adelaide, the capital of South Australia. Online qualifiers to the event will begin from 2009 and each $4,500 package will include accommodation at the Hyatt Hotel, the $3,000 buy-in and travel expenses.

“Following the success of the second season of the APPT earlier this year, we are excited to be expanding poker further throughout this region. The ANZPT will provide Australian and New Zealand poker players with a professionally executed tour in their own backyard,” commented ANZPT spokesperson, Danny McDonagh.

Some of Australia’s finest poker exports will be present, including Aussie Team PokerStars members Grant Levy, Eric Assadourian, Celina Lin, Tony Hachem and Emad Tahtouh.
