PokerStars APPT Cebu hits Day 3; 11 remain in contention

Monday, 15 November 2010

The PokerStars APPT Cebu continued on the other side of the world overnight as 127 players returned for Day 3 today. Or late last night-slash-early this morning depending on which time zone you’re in.

As we write Day 3 is well underway with just 11 players remaining following the elimination of Roger Spets in 12th place. Jukka Juvonen’s 600,000 stack puts him at the head of the field alongside Young-shin Im.

GUKPT Brighton winner Paul Foltyn led the British challenge, eventually busting just short of the final table in thirteenth place.

The first prize for the event is 5,810,000 Philippine Pesos which translates to a rather less impressive but still top dollar £82,205. Each of the top six finishers will become a Peso millionaire (win about £15,000) with each of the remaining players guaranteed 269,000 PHP.

No sense giving you the top five chip counts currently as they are liable to change at any minute. With 11 left they are playing down to a nine-handed final table and returning tomorrow to conclude the action.
