The PokerBook Gaming Corporation has announced it is the process of developing www.worldpokercharitytour.com the first ever charitable poker site and what the company claims will be the only legal poker site based in the US. Charities will be able to sign up to run their own online fund-raising poker tournaments through the Fantasy Poker Club.
Jack E. Owens, CEO, said: 'We are really excited to announce the first legalized poker gaming site in the United States. PokerBook Gaming Corporation is the first to organize legal, on-line Texas Holdem Poker Tournaments for charity fundraising! PokerBook Gaming will target and contract only licensed Non-Profit 501(c) 3 Large Corporations with established Donor contributor bases. This will give them the ability to cash in on the world Poker craze for fundraising. PokerBook Gaming Corporation's Fantasy Poker Clubs World Tour, scheduled for launch in September 2004, will give charities the ability to use the Internet in a revolutionary new way!'
FPC will work directly with the charities in organizing, running and helping secure sponsorship prizes for these online poker tournaments. 'We believe that this is the fun way to make a difference in the World,' said Owens.
