A very tough looking Irish Open field has been strengthened still further with the news that Phil ‘unabomber’ Laak and Neil ‘Bad Beat’ Channing will both be appearing at this year’s event. They join big names such as Doyle Brunson, Roland de Wolfe, Dario Minieri and Dave Ulliott for the 3,200 + 300 euro Main Event at the Citywest Casino, Dublin.

If you fancy a flutter, PaddyPower.com are offering an outright betting market for the event which takes place over the Easter Weekend. Defending champion Channing, looking to become the first player to retain the Terry Rogers Memorial Trophy is available at 125/1 as is the current WSOP 10K Omaha bracelet holder Marty Smith. Andy Black and current WSOP Main Event champion Peter Eastgate head the market at 80/1. Noel Furlong, the three times Irish Open champion is on offer at 250/1.
