Poker in the Park V returns to London on September 2-3

Thursday, 14 July 2011

The biggest poker festival in Europe, Poker In The Park, will be coming back to London from September 2nd to September 3rd 2011 with a new home, just around the corner from Oxford Circus at Hanover Square.

Last year, 20,000 people came to Leicester Square for freerolls, competitions and a chance to mingle with the likes of Liv Boeree and Neil Channing with seminars from Devilfish, Alex Rousso and more. Oh, and Evander Holyfield was there. You may have heard of him.

We’ll not only have multi-table and single-table Sit ‘n’ Goes running as close to 24/7 as we can but you will be treated to strategy seminars from some of the best players in the game, live tuition from those same best players, autograph signings, heads-up electronic poker table tournaments with live final tables and a lovely trophy (that Bluff Europe writer Matt Perry came runner-up for last year, not that he’s bitter) and deals on the latest books and poker paraphernalia.

For the first time ever, there will be a Main Stage, with acts to be confirmed soon. The Main Stage will also host the second annual British Poker Awards, a ceremony to honour the cream of British poker, in a year when UK players continued to dominate on the international stage.

Oh, and it’s all totally free. Absolutely costless. This year we promise a bigger and better event with more marquees, two poker domes and more big names from the world of poker. Basically, you should clear those dates from your calendar because it’s going to be awesome.
