A new free online poker site has launched at ZeroRiskPoker.com offering games of Texas Hold‘em without ever having to open your wallet.
ZeroRiskPoker.com is a sponsor-based online poker site that is to be supported by advertisers looking to significantly expand their markets.
'We're taking the free online poker concept and turning it on its head,' said Adam Majewski, President and Chief Executive Officer of ZeroRiskPoker LLC. 'We don't believe playing for free should mean playing for nothing and we don't believe that playing poker has to be a risky proposition.'
ZeroRiskPoker.com allows advertisers to connect with the ever-growing poker audience at little or no cost by offering up a product or service in multi-table tournaments, through on-table advertising and via other direct marketing avenues.
American legislation passed last year prohibits US credit card companies and banking institutions from processing electronic transactions to Internet gambling businesses. This has forced several online companies including PartyPoker.com and ParadisePoker.com to halt US operations.
Majewski said that companies are already eager to be part of the online poker phenomenon in a completely legal environment with over $25,000 in prizes currently up for grabs every month. Prior to launch, he stated that ZeroRiskPoker.com had already secured agreements with over 47 sponsors including Bowflex and Logo Dogz with that number expected to grow as more sponsors come board.
