Poker Tour is Paradise Bound

Poker Tour is Paradise Bound

Thursday, 7 November 2013

The first ever Caribbean Poker Tour kicks off tomorrow and on the menu for those who've planned a few days in paradise will be a varied selection of events. Kicking off in Punta Cana with a super satellite before the main roster of tournaments get underway, the focus for many on the seven-event card will be the $1,500 William Hill Poker Open which starts on Sunday.

Featuring two starting days, the tournament should provide more than a modicum of interest for any travelling pros. However, as if the first seven days of action was enough, the CPT will then up sticks and head to St. Maarten for another batch of tournaments.

Running from November 15 until the 24, the St. Maarten leg of the tour will feature another mixture of low, medium and high buy-in events, including a WPT Main Event and the Lucky Number 7 High Roller hosted by Tobias Reinkemeier.

Commenting on the CPT the company's CEO, Leon Groenewoud, said: "The CPT is the holiday of a lifetime with poker included. This is an opportunity for players to take their friends and family with and we think they will love it."
