The EPT has really started heating up, with the Barcelona and London legs already completed. Next up on the circuit is Baden in Austria, where once again the field has a real mix of online pros and live game legends. Amongst the 282 entries this time around are Barry Greenstein, Patrick Antonius, Mark Vos, Annette Obrestad and Hevad ‘RainMan’ Khan.
Australian pro Mark Vos had a late rush at the end of the day to propel his chip stack to over 32,000 and Patrick Antonius was at the right of the end of the leader board as well. Things weren’t quite as smooth for the Italian betting machine that is Dario Minieri, whose stack pole vaulted to around 30,000 early in the day only for it to be chopped back down to finish on 7,900. Heading the leader board is Sander Lylloff with 53,300 and Thomas Wahlroos who bagged 41,200. Antonius is placed in third, Vos fourth.
Those who won’t be amongst the 154 who return for Day Two are Andy Black, Annette Obrestad, Vanessa Rousso and Full Tilt new-boy Nikolaus Jedlicka.
The winner of the event will be €670,000 richer for their troubles.
